About the wildlife trade operation
The proposal satisfies the requirements of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999. Approval of this wildlife trade operation will facilitate biodiscovery research and development through enabling the export of specimens held in the AIMS Bioresources Library. Approval only covers specimens held in the Bioresources Library that are acquired during the period covered by the declaration (See condition 1 of the declaration). AIMS has had previous approved programs. Specimens acquired during the period covered by previous declarations can also be exported.
This small–scale wildlife trade operation was gazetted on 21 September 2011 and will be in force from 21 September 2011 until 20 September 2014.
