Tools for planning water efficiency

The department has collated resources to provide businesses with information on planning and implementing water efficiency.

The resources provided include: best practice guides; fact sheets; checklists; case studies; and tips to assist your business in self assessing water efficiency and identifying opportunities for water savings.

These resources are from both Australian and international organisations and have been separated into broad industry sectors; however some resources are more general is scope and/or cover many industry sectors.

The department has also developed tools for the following sectors which are available by contacting weo@environment.gov.au: vineyards and winemaking; beverage manufacturing; steel manufacturing; coal mining; airports; poultry meat processing; petroleum refining; coal powered electricity generation; glass manufacturing; and paper manufacturing.
