About the project
The project will construct water storage basins and both above and underground tanks to supply and treat stormwater to a portfolio of sport and recreational parks and former land fill locations. This treated stormwater will be used to replace potable water used for irrigation.
Project benefits/objectives:
- reduce the demand for potable water by up to 200 ML/yr, and
- foster habitat creation within the project locations, and
- increase the amenity of open spaces within Brisbane City area.
