Statewide Cities and Towns Project, Local Government Association of South Australia
Statewide, SA
Total funding: Total project cost of $17.5 million, with funding of $7.169 million from the Australian Government under the National Water Security Plan for Cities and Towns and the remaining funding provided by local councils.
About the project
The Local Government Associated of South Australia (LGA SA) is overseeing a suite of 31 sub-projects undertaken by 17 local councils throughout South Australia. These sub-projects include recycling of roof runoff, capture and recycling of stormwater and recycling of treated wastewater. Recycled water can then be used to irrigate community areas such as ovals, parks and gardens.
