Total funding: Total project cost of $20.25 million is fully funded by the Australian Government under the National Water Security Plan for Cities and Towns.
About the project
The objective of this project is to improve the sustainability, security and safety of water supplies and services in the communities of Nguiu, Wadeye, Umbakumba, Galiwinku and Angurugu through the provision of water production and storage infrastructure.
Project benefits
The projects will make a significant contribution to improving the quality of life and the well being of the residents of these communities through the provision of safe and reliable water supplies.
Progress
The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2012.
