Notes

The Tasmanian Government is responsible for access and benefit sharing agreements and will provide information on such arrangements within its jurisdiction on request.  Access to genetic resources from the wild will require an Access and Benefit Sharing Agreement if the material is collected from any formal reserve.  If the collection is to be from a taxon listed under the Threatened Species Protection Act 1995 then an ABSA will be required regardless of land tenure.  The Competent National Authority for Tasmania can provide further advice on arrangements for public lands.
