Jabiluka mine monitoring data
Ngarradj (Swift Creek) monitoring data 2001-2009
The graphs on this web page show SSD data for the 2001-05 wet seasons and ERA and SSD data for 2006-09 wet season.
The Supervising Scientist's interpretation of the data in these charts is available at:
Uranium in Ngarradj
The uranium limit of 6 µg/L recommended by the Supervising Scientist has been derived using local ecotoxicological data. The limit must not be exceeded. Please note that the limit is far above the range shown on the charts, but the scale on the right hand axis shows how the measured concentrations compare to the limit.

Magnesium in Ngarradj
Due to a natural source of magnesium between the upstream and downstream monitoring points in Ngarradj Creek, the Supervising Scientist has recommended a guideline value of 0.76 mg/L determined statistically and which may be extended occasionally due to natural events.
Sulfate in Ngarradj
The sulfate guideline value of 1.5 mg/L recommended by the Supervising Scientist for Ngarradj Creek is determined statistically and may be exceeded occasionally due to natural events. The guideline should not be exceeded due to mining activities.
pH in Ngarradj
The pH guideline value of 3.92 - 6.0 recommended by the Supervising Scientist is statistically determined. It may be exceeded occasionally due to natural events but should not be exceeded due to mining activities. pH will be interpreted with regard to the values of other key variables.

Conductivity in Ngarradj
The conductivity guideline value of 21 µS/cm recommended by the Supervising Scientist is determined statistically and may be exceeded occasionally due to natural events. The guideline should not be exceeded due to mining activities.
Turbidity in Ngarradj
Radium-226 in Ngarradj
