Data Reporting System - Theme: Australian Antarctic Territory
Introduction
Australia's Antarctic Territories (AAT) have been treated as a separate theme in SoE 2006, in order to avoid their coverage being marginalised as an add-on to each of the other themes.
The issues in the AAT theme have been structured to examine the other themes within the Antarctic context - atmosphere, coasts and oceans, land, inland waters (in the case of the AAT this is mainly land ice and glaciers), biodiversity, human habitations and Antarctic heritage.
