Registration Instructions - read this information before you start!
General Registration for the Department of the Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts
Before you submit your registration request for National Solar Schools you will need to register on the Department's central grants register. In future, you may use this registration to apply for other departmental grants.
To complete your general registration you will need:
Organisation details
- School ABN - enter your school's Australian Business Number (ABN). This should be eleven digits only. If you don't know what your school's ABN is you can search the Australian Business Register at www.abr.business.gov.au
- Validate button - click on the 'Validate ABN' button next to the ABN field - your ABN will be checked against the Australian Business Register. The following fields will be automatically populated with data from the Australian Business Register:
- GST status
- Legal name
- Entity type.
Check that the information drawn from the Australian Business Register is correct before proceeding. If the information is not correct, check that you have entered the ABN correctly. You may need to go to the Australian Business Register website and search on your school name to find the correct ABN.
Do not proceed unless you are sure your ABN information is correct - this is the entity to which we pay the National Solar Schools funding.
If your school has been incorporated please enter:
- Incorporation number
- Incorporation date
