Don't risk your life!
Uluru is a beautiful but harsh environment. Heat exhaustion and dehydration are very real dangers here. You can take some simple steps to keep you and your family safe while out walking in our park.
- Wear a hat, strong shoes and sunscreen.
- Carry and drink at least one litre of water per hour.
- Walk in the cooler parts of the day.
- Stay on the track.
- Take all warnings and recommendations seriously
Beat the heat
Temperatures regularly reach 30 degrees Celsius or more at Uluru. Walk only in the cooler parts of the day. In summer we strongly recommend you walk only in the early morning before 11.00 am.
Injured wildlife
If you see an injured animal in the park - please notify staff in the Cultural Centre either in person or by phone 08 8956 1128.
