About this permit

Certain activities may only be carried out in Commonwealth parks and reserves if allowed by the Management Plan and conducted in accordance with a permit issued under the EPBC Act. Use this form to apply for a permit to conduct activities in the Australian National Botanic Gardens, under Regulations 12.06(2) or 12.09(1) of the EPBC Regulations, and in accordance with subsection 354(1) of the EPBC Act.

Commercial activities and those involving taking of plant material and/or scientific or other research require a separate permit.

Overseas applicants: If you intend to carry out activities for commercial purposes while in Australia, it is a requirement under the Migration Act 1958 that you obtain an appropriate Temporary Residence Visa. These can be applied for from any Australian Embassy.
