Suburban Jobs Latest News
In the last two weeks in February 2014 the Project Managers from each of the Suburban Jobs projects in the City of Melton, University of Western Sydney, and the City of Playford, visited each site.
This visit is one of the Suburban Jobs Project Group’s collaborations between the project proponents, who have invested time in meeting regularly, to enable face to face interaction as well as exchanging and sharing of ideas about the implementation of Suburban employment projects.
City of Melton – update as at February 2014
A sod turning event was held on 13 November 2013 with the Mayor, councillors, consortium partners and stakeholders attending

17 February 2014 saw a site visit by all project proponents to the Western BACE site in Melton, Victoria. Building is now well under way on the site.

University of Western Sydney - update as at February 2014
A contract for the building works was executed in November and construction of the Werrington Park Corporate Centre is well underway.
City of Playford - update as of February 2014
Hassell Architects have designed the Stretton Centre, a photograph of the model of the building made by the students of the School of Architecture, University of Adelaide, is pictured below.
It is anticipated that building works will commence by mid 2014.

The Australian Workplace Innovation and Social Research Centre (WISeR), at the University of Adelaide have been conducting research activities relating to industry and workforce support in the area.
