Minister for the Arts, Peter Garrett, today announced the appointment of Mr Matthew Liebmann as a member of the Screen Australia Board.
"I am delighted Mr Liebmann has agreed to serve on the Screen Australia Board," Mr Garrett said.
"Mr Liebmann has extensive international experience in strategic media advisory and new media. His experience will be extremely valuable and will complement the Board's existing expertise."
Mr Liebmann is the Director of Commercial and New Business at the Hoyts Corporation, Australia. Formerly, Mr Liebmann was General Manager of SKYCITY Cinemas in Auckland, New Zealand, a Director in the Entertainment and Media practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers Australia and has held various positions with Village Roadshow Limited, Australia.
"The appointment is for three years and I look forward to working with Mr Liebmann at a time when Australia's film and television industry sector is producing high quality and successful productions," Mr Garrett said.
Screen Australia is the Australian Government's key funding body for Australian screen production.
It supports and promotes the development of a highly creative, innovative, culturally relevant and commercially sustainable Australian screen production industry.
