Minister for the Environment Robert Hill will unveil a national funding package for boat moorings designed to safeguard coral reefs from anchor damage and protect environmentally sensitive marine areas.

Australia's Oceans Policy has identified damage from boat anchors and inappropriately designed moorings as a serious environmental issue in popular marine and coastal areas.
