Notice of Proposed Proclamations - Commonwealth Reserves
A notice inviting comment on the proposal to declare a series of new Commonwealth marine reserves was published in the Government Gazette in accordance with the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (the EPBC Act) on 11 July 2012. Members of the public had a period of 60 days to provide comments on the proposal. The public comment period closed on Monday 10 September 2012.
The notice provides details for each of the proposed reserves including the proposed boundaries of the area of each reserve, and any zones within the reserves.
