Employment opportunities
The Department of the Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts employs both ongoing (permanent) employees and non ongoing (temporary) employees.
Ongoing (permanent) employment
All ongoing vacancies are also advertised in APSjobs (www.apsjobs.gov.au) and some are also advertised in major newspapers such as the Weekend Australian or the Canberra Times.
Non-ongoing (temporary) employment
The Department engages non-ongoing employees to fill short-term vacancies. The duration of a temporary vacancy might be anywhere from a few weeks up to twelve months.
