About the Guidelines

DEH uses point-based fauna and flora survey data to meet a number of statutory, international and other obligations. These obligations include the development of endangered species recovery plans, State of the Environment Reporting, implementation of the Natural Heritage Trust, and maintenance of a national database of sites of natural heritage significance (the Register of the National Estate Database).
