About the workshop
The Threatened Species Scientific Committee has been striving to implement the provisions of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act) relating to ecological communities. Problems of particular concern to the Committee have been those associated with defining an 'ecological community'. This paper seeks to improve the clarity and workability of these definitional issues, and to identify improved methods for assessing ecological communities.
