About the report

This project aimed to provide information on site fidelity, residency times, activity patterns and the effects of berleying on white sharks through the use of acoustic listening stations at three locations in South Australia.

Movements between different sites in this study, together with previous tracking and sighting data, suggest that white sharks in this region have a relatively large home range encompassing several island groups that they utilise for feeding. At certain times of the year they may migrate out of the area.
