Snapshot of the South-east

The South-east Regional Marine Plan
National Oceans Office, 2001

PDF file

About the report

This Snapshot introduces the South-east Marine Region of Australia's ocean territory: its biological and physical nature; history; how we use it and how we manage those uses – from the coast to the deep seas. Another document, the Scoping Paper for the South-east Regional Marine Plan, outlines the regional marine planning process currently under way. There is also a South-east Regional Marine Plan - Scoping paper available. This document is not intended to give a complete picture of all the complexities of the Region. Much of our understanding of the Region is still to be gained. A more detailed picture of the Region will emerge during the assessment stage of the Regional Marine Plan that is outlined in the Scoping Paper.
