Accreditation of a Plan of Management for the Purposes of Section 265 Part 13
I, David Kemp, Minister for the Environment and Heritage, being satisfied that in relation to that:
- the Queensland Syngnathid Harvest from the Queensland East Coast Trawl Fishery Statement of Management Arrangements in force under the Fisheries Act 1994 (Queensland) requires persons engaged in fishing under the plan to take all reasonable steps to ensure that members of the Family Syngnathidae as a listed marine species are not killed or injured as a result of the fishing; and
- the fishery to which the plan relates does not, or is not likely to, adversely effect conservation status of a member of the Family Syngnathidae as a listed marine species or a population of species from that Family,
hereby accredit the Queensland Syngnathid harvest from the Queensland East Coast Trawl Fishery Statement of Management Arrangements, as in force at the date of this instrument or upon accreditation of the East Coast Trawl Fishery Management Plan 1999, pursuant to section 265 of the Division 4 of Part 13 of the Act.
