Services and experience

Services provided:

Wetlands can be an integral component to Carbon Farming programs across Australia. For 20 years, WetlandCare Australia has actively sought opportunities to advance the understanding of wetland management and how wetlands, rivers, floodplains and aquatic biodiversity can be best managed for multiple benefits, including carbon storage, across diverse landscapes.

WetlandCare Australia's Blue Carbon program has been in operation since 2009 and since then we have been actively working towards the inclusion of coastal wetlands in Australia's climate change adaptation and mitigation strategies. The program goals can be accessed on our website.

WCA works closely with local Indigenous groups to manage the ecological and biodiversity values of culturally and environmentally significant lands. Examples of such project can be found on our website.
