About the draft guidelines

The Guidelines for assessing sustainability of commercial harvesting of native flora from the wild have been developed with the input of the National Flora Management Network to enable a consistent approach to assessing risk in the harvest of native flora species.

The draft guidelines closed for public comment on Wednesday 19 December 2007. The department will finalise the document after taking into consideration any comments received during the public consultation process.
