The committee welcomes the views of experts, stakeholders and the general public on the status of this species to further inform its assessment process. To assist in this matter, the committee has identified a series of specific questions on which it seeks particular guidance.
Information in this nomination as well as other information received by the department, will be used by the committee to advise the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and the Arts whether the species should be listed as threatened under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999.
The public comment period closes on 17 November 2009.
