About the plan
The Bogong Eyebright Euphrasia eichleri is listed as Vulnerable under the Commonwealth Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999. The species is endemic to the Victorian Alps, where about 1,100 plants were found in seven populations in 1998, although more recent surveys have failed to find any plants at the sites. Main threats to populations include grazing, accidental damage through trampling and climate change.
This national Recovery Plan for Euphrasia eichleri details the species' distribution and biology, conservation status, threats, and recovery objectives and actions necessary to ensure its long-term survival.
