About the Review
The Review of the Bureau of Meteorology's capacity to respond to future extreme weather and natural disaster events and to provide seasonal forecasting services was announced on 18 July 2011. The Review was led by Ms Chloe Munro.
The Review followed the protracted severe weather of summer 2010-11, where floods were experienced across many parts of Australia, in addition to tropical cyclones and bushfires, and international tsunami and volcanic ash incidents.
